I often get asked common questions so thought my website should help my customers find their answers.

How much do you charge?

Every booking is unique, and pricing reflects a few key considerations:

  • Travel distance to your venue
  • Number of guests, which can affect how much time I need to engage everyone
  • Date and time of your event, particularly during peak seasons

Packages start from £150 for a 1 hour performance. To receive a personalised quote tailored to your event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How long do you perform for?

Most events benefit from a performance lasting between one and four hours. To determine the ideal duration for your occasion, I consider a few important factors: how many guests you’re expecting, the structure of your event, and what other entertainment or activities are scheduled.

I understand how important flexibility is when planning an event, so I always aim to adapt. My focus is on creating an experience that fits seamlessly into your day—not on sticking rigidly to the clock.

Tell me about the plans you have for your event and I can help advise if you are not sure.

Why should I hire you when I can find a cheaper quote elsewhere?

When obtaining quotes, please expect fees to vary quite significantly. As with all professions, much depends on experience, level of performance, and the calibre of the client base. Cheaper doesn’t always mean better—what I offer is reliability, audience engagement, and magical moments that leave a lasting impression.

With decades of professional performance experience, I bring a lifetime of magical expertise to your event. I’ve worked alongside legendary names like Tommy Cooper and Paul Daniels. I have performed for clients including the BBC, British Royal Navy, Ford, Shell and British Airways.

How do I know if you’re right for my wedding, party, or event?

It’s important to feel confident when booking entertainment. Here’s how you can be sure:

  • Reviews: Take a look at testimonials from past clients to see what others think.
  • Talk on the Phone: Give me a call so we can discuss your event personally.
  • Come and See Me Before: I regularly perform at public events and venues; you're welcome to come and watch.
  • Demonstration: If practical, I can arrange a short demonstration so you can experience my magic firsthand.

What kind of magic do you perform?

I specialise in close-up magic, which allows me to mingle and interact with small groups of guests, creating intimate and engaging magical experiences. Every performance is visually captivating, highly interactive, and tailored to engage and delight all your guests.

My performances feature:

  • Card tricks
  • Coin illusions
  • Rope magic
  • Everyday items, often borrowed from the audience

My act is full of laughs as well as mind-bending magic—comedy is a huge part of what I do. I perform comedy magic a children’s entertainer in Essex. I am a proud member of the Professor Rainbows team, bringing energy and joy to younger audiences.

I’m also one-third of the comedy cabaret trio, Triple Cream. Performing in this group taught me how to work a room, keep an audience engaged, and deliver big laughs alongside clever illusions.

With decades of stage and close-up experience, I’m confident in my ability to entertain and delight guests of all ages.

How do I book you?

Booking is easy! Contact me by phone at 07356 227 866 or email at contact@brianbaffles.co.uk. You can also drop me a quick message using the contact form on this website.

Once we confirm availability and details, you'll receive a confirmation of your booking. I'll stay in touch leading up to your event to ensure everything goes smoothly.

How far in advance should I book?

To secure your preferred date, especially during busy seasons (like weddings and holidays), I recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance. However, it’s always worth checking my availability if your event date is closer.

Reach out to check availability – I am pretty speedy in getting back to my customers.

What happens if I book and on the day you’re taken ill?

While this is extremely unlikely, emergencies can occur. In such cases, I have a trusted network of professional magicians and entertainers who can step in as a replacement. As a member of The Ilford Magical Society I know a number of world class magicians, who’s skills I know I can depend on.

Unfortunately, I have been unwell on a couple of occasions and had organise a replacement magician. On each instance the customer was still very pleased.

If I’m unable to arrange a suitable alternative, you’ll receive a full refund. So far (touch wood) I have never let down a customer and had to do this.
